Dato’ Mohd Salleh Mahmud
Dato’ Mohd Salleh Mahmud was appointed as the Board member of Prokhas on 31 October 2013 and became the Chairman of the Board on 22 August 2014. He is currently the Director of Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), Worldwide Holdings Berhad and Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS). Previously he had served on the Board of CIMB Niaga, Commerce Asset Holdings Bhd, Ladang Rakyat Terengganu Sdn Bhd, Tribunal Rayuan Persaingan Malaysia, Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia and Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia (LHDNM).
He started his career in 1976 as the Accountant in the Foreign Investment Committee, Economic Planning Unit of Prime Minister's Department before being transferred to Telecommunication Department in 1980 as a Financial Comptroller of the Central Region. He later served as the Chief Accountant in the Pensions Division, Public Services Department in 1981 before his appointment as Director of the Pension Trust Fund in the Accountant General’s Department in 1991.
Dato’ Mohd Salleh assumed the position of the Deputy Accountant General (Operations) in 1996 and the Deputy Accountant General (Management) in April 2000 in the Accountant General’s Department. On 21 March 2005, he was appointed as the Accountant General of Malaysia until his retirement in November 2010.
Dato’ Mohd Salleh graduated with a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) in 1975 and obtained his Masters in Business Administration from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He is an honorary member of CPA Australia.
Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr. Hj. Mohd Shukor Hj. Mahfar
Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr. Hj. Mohd Shukor Hj. Mahfar was appointed as the Board member of Prokhas on 2 October 2017. He started his career as a Bank Officer back in 1978; a year later – he took a leap to work with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB) as an Assessment Officer. He then quickly rose through the ranks in IRB, being appointed Deputy CEO of Compliance, Deputy CEO of Operations, and CEO in January 2011. Throughout the years, he received many accolades and awards - he was elected President of the Malaysian Association of Statutory Bodies and Chairman of The Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA); and was awarded the CEO of The Year 2015 by The European Emerging Markets Awards and received the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award – Outstanding Contribution in Shaping People by The Asia HRD Award.
Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr. Hj. Mohd Shukor holds a Bachelor of Economics with University Malaya, a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science with Malaysia University of Technology, and Master of Taxation and Doctor of Public Administration at the Golden Gate University, USA. He also received an Honorary Doctor of Management from UNITEN and Asia Metropolitan University; appointed the Adjunct Professor of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNITAR), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and University College Of Technology Sarawak (UCTS).
Equipped with 36 years of vast experience both in taxation and management throughout his tenureship with IRB, Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr. Hj. Mohd Shukor now leads his own Tax and Management firm known as MSM Management Advisory. With his continuous engagement in the tax related field, he was later appointed as the Chairman of McMillan Woods National Tax Firm and the Chairman of Uniutama Education and Consultancy (UECSB). He currently sits as the Board of Director at Uniutama Management Holdings (UMHSB). He is also a Partner at YYC Advisors, and an Advisor to Century Software (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
Dato’ Fauziah Yaacob
Dato’ Fauziah Yaacob was appointed as the Board member of Prokhas on 29 August 2014.
She started her career as the Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Education in 1981, after which she was appointed as Principal Assistant Secretary in the same Ministry in 1986. She pursued her studies in UK in 1987 and continued her services in civil service upon her return in 1989 as the Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Finance. She was later appointed as the Assistant Director at the Ministry of Transport in 1992 and assigned to KL International Airport Berhad as the Senior Manager in 1993 for 6 years.
Subsequently she returned to the Ministry of Finance in 1999 serving as Principal Assistant Director of the Budget Division. She was appointed as the Deputy Under Secretary in the Loan Management, Financial Market and Actuary Division in 2006 and was later posted to the Government Procurement Division on the same year. She became the Under Secretary in the division in 2008 until 2012 before appointed as the Deputy Secretary General of Treasury (Systems and Controls) of which she served for more than a year until her appointment as the Deputy Secretary General of Treasury (Investment) in January 2014.
She currently sits on the Boards of Telekom Malaysia Berhad, Pembinaan BLT Sdn Bhd, Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera, Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre Berhad, Pyrotechnical Managers Holdings Sdn Bhd, Aman Sukuk Berhad, Malaysian Airline Systems Berhad, Suruhanjaya Sekuriti Malaysia, Lembaga Dana Pembangunan Pasaran Modal and Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia.
Dato’ Fauziah Yaacob holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) from the University of Malaya and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
Datuk Mohd Nasir Ahmad
Datuk Mohd Nasir Ahmad was appointed as a Board member of Prokhas Sdn Bhd on 28 October 2013. He currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Audit Committee of MIMOS Berhad, Bina Darulaman Berhad and Small Medium Enterprise Development Bank Malaysia Berhad (SME Bank) besides being on the board of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Chairman of UKM Holdings Sdn Bhd. Datuk Mohd Nasir is also a Member of the Energy Commission and Small Debt Resolution Committee of Bank Negara as well as Council Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom.
Datuk Mohd Nasir began his career in 1979 as a Trainee Accountant rising to Manager in various departments of the Finance Division of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) before moving to several other corporations. In January 1993 he joined Malaysia Transformer Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of TNB as the Financial Controller, before being made Chief Executive in June 1994. In January 2000, he joined Sharikat Permodalan Kebangsaan Berhad as its Chief Executive Officer. On 1 June 2001 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad, a position he held until his retirement on 1 June 2011.
Datuk Mohd Nasir is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysia Institute of Accountants and was its President for 2 years until 15 July 2013. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (United Kingdom) and holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
