We are seeking an experienced and results-driven professional to lead the Claims Department in managing claims and recovery processes for Government guarantee schemes administered by SJPP. The successful candidate will oversee claims operations, drive process improvements, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and lead a high-performing team to achieve departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise claims processing activities to ensure timely and accurate handling of claims in accordance with scheme agreements and internal procedures.
  • Monitor departmental performance and ensure achievement of operational targets and KPIs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve claim processing efficiency, minimise claims, and maximise recovery efforts.
  • Oversee monitoring and recovery activities and ensure effective execution of action plans.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Prepare and present management reports, updates, and recommendations.
  • Review and endorse claims papers and credit-related requests for approval by relevant committees.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in credit, monitoring, or related functions within a Corporate or Commercial Banking environment.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and people management.
  • Exposure to restructuring & rescheduling (R&R), recovery, and audit-related work is preferred.
