Cover Story: Prokhas’ RM400m property tender

Prokhas Sdn Bhd, which was appointed to manage and recover Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Bhd’s residual assets, will launch a property tender with an indicative value of about RM400 million.

During the tender exercise, 189 properties, previously foreclosed by Danaharta, would be up for tender. Of the 189 properties, it said 80 were residential, industrial (42), commercial (29), development (20) and retail (12).

It said that 67 of the 189 properties were in the central region, 55 (northern), 54 (southern) and 13 (east coast).

Prokhas was appointed by the Finance Ministry to manage the residual assets of Danaharta and its subsidiary companies’ residual assets on Jan 1, 2006.

The stamp duty is waived for sale of all properties under the tender. Interested bidders can obtain the sales brochures at RM100 per property from July 17.

They could obtain the brochures from Prokhas' property management unit or any of the 227 real estate agents on Danaharta's panel.
